Alison turned one year old on August 17th of this year. In her honor we had a "Princess Party" in our backyard. Alison was surrounded by her parent's, mom-mom, aunts/uncles, cousins and countless friends (little ones and big ones!). Despite the fact that it was pouring rain for much of the afternoon, it was a beautiful day! Luckily we had a nice BIG tent pitched in the backyard (donated by Roxbury High School). 
My friend Linda made the most gorgeous birthday cake that anyone could have possibly made! It took her 8 loving hours to construct this vision, and my goodness... it tasted sooooo yummy!
Alison enjoyed the cake as well!
